For a side project, I used this specifically to build out two test jars of sterilized millet first, then expanded to a single 5 lb hardwood sawdust block once the grain was fully white. I measured 2cc into each jar, flamed the needle between injections, and kept notes because pioppino can be fussier than oysters in my space. What I noticed was even distribution of visible culture in the syringe, no odd clumps that refused to break up, and steady growth that filled the jars without the patchy look I sometimes get. The transfer from grain to supplemented hardwood also stayed clean. Fruiting took patience, but the block produced tight clusters with slender stems and dark caps. For that exact grain-to-hardwood workflow, this was one of the more predictable cultures I have used.
