This is the single most common point of confusion with reishi, so it is worth stating plainly: antler reishi and the flat, kidney-shaped conk are the same organism, and the form you get is a cultivation variable rather than a genetic one. Antler formations are encouraged by sealing the growing environment and letting CO₂ build up while limiting fresh-air exchange. Open the bag and increase fresh-air exchange, and the same culture will produce classic laccate conks instead. If you want antlers, keep the FAE low.

Needed this for one very specific run: two filter patch bags of hardwood fuel pellets and bran, kept sealed on purpose so I could push antler formation instead of flat conks. That was the whole point. I used about 2.5cc per bag, shook well first, and both bags took off without the usual stalling nonsense. Once colonized, I left fresh air low and humidity high in a small tent. It did exactly what I bought it for. Long branching growth, nice color, no confusion about whether the culture could make antlers. It can. Your setup matters more than the syringe. Only reason this is not a perfect score is the needle felt a little larger than I prefer for tight injection ports. Still worked fine. If your goal is antlers in a sealed bag, this is a solid pick.
